Tri-Plexes
Akwesasne, QC.
HSP provided integrated architectural, HVAC, and plumbing design services for five high-performance, three-unit residential apartment buildings in Tsi Snaihne, Québec. The project emphasizes durability, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort through a robust high-performance building envelope and advanced mechanical systems. Key features include triple-pane glazing, R-54 insulated exterior walls, and R-40 slab-on-grade insulation. The buildings are served by geothermal and cold-climate air-source heat pump systems, paired with high-efficiency Energy Recovery Ventilators achieving 88% heat recovery. The design also targeted Passive House–level airtightness to significantly reduce energy demand while supporting long-term sustainability goals.
